Today, after breakfast, proceed on a walking tour of the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens for a fascinating horticultural odyssey.
The garden with well-laid out roads, paths, open spaces, shade and a good collection of many types of plant species attracts a large number of visitors. Lalbagh, for its unique achievement in nurturing the concept of horticulture and aiding the development of horticulture, has earned a pride of place among the gardens of the world and it has come to be regarded as one of the best gardens in the East for its layout, maintenance, scientific treasure and scenic beauty.
Continue on a visit to Tipu Sultan`s Palace and the Bull Temple.
Tipu Sultan`s Palace was built entirely of teak and stands adorned with pillars, arches and balconies. It is believed that Tipu Sultan used to conduct his durbar (court) from the eastern and western balconies of the upper floor. There are four smaller rooms in the corners of the first floor which were used to known as Zenana Quarters or Ladies Quarters
The Bull Temple is dedicated to Nandi bull, the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva.There is a huge idol of Nandi Bull inside the temple, measuring 4.5 m in height and 6.5 m in length. This idol is said to have been carved out of a single rock. The bull also has a small iron plate on its head. As per the tradition, this plate prevents the bull from growing.

Drive to Mysore, visiting Dariya Daulat Palace in Srirangapatnam- the capital of Hyder Ali and his son, Tipu Sultan - enroute.

Today proceed on a sightseeing tour of Mysore. Visit the Mysore Palace and Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery.
The Mysore Palace or Amba Vilas Palace is the official seat and residence of the Wodeyars, the former royal family, who ruled Mysore from 1399 till 1950.
The Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery in Mysore is considered one of the best art galleries in South India because of its excellent collection of paintings and artifacts that once belonged to the Wodeyars of Mysore.
In the afternoon continue for an excursion to Somnathpur known for the Chennakeshava Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The Chennakesava Temple is one of the finest examples of Hoyasala temple architecture.
The temple is housed inside an impressive high walled enclosure and the entrance to the complex is through a porch with tall lathe-turned pillars.The material used for the temple is soapstone.

Continue driving to Bandipur National Park.

St. Francis Church, originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India[9][10] and has great historical significance as a mute witness to the European colonial struggle in the subcontinent.
The chinese fishing nets (Cheenavala) are distinctly unique to Cochin. It is believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets here. Oddly, these nets are found only in Kochi, outside China! Many fishermen earn their livelihood by fishing using these massive nets. A whole stretch of the coast along Fort Kochi are dotted with these nets.
